ALTERNATE INGREDIENT

Latik and desiccated coconut may be replaced with grated cheese as topping for Creamy Maja Blanca.

EASIER STEPS

Used canned coconut milk and corn.

SIMPLY GOOD TIP

To make latik- simmer freshly squeezed coconut cream in a pan until curds form and turn into golden brown. Strain latik and used as topping for Creamy Maja Blanca. 

Desiccated coconut is dried shredded coconut, store-bought and may be toasted in a dry pan for added flavor and texture to Creamy Maja Blanca.
